❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE
We love how versatile this recipe is. You can add extra veggies or make it the way we have it written. You can switch up the cheese as well. Use a store-bought pie crust or make your own. This also reheats well and is great to enjoy for a few days.
🍴KEY INGREDIENTS
- Deep dish pie shell
- Pork sausage (I used Jimmy Dean’s mild pork sausage, you can use hot or whatever kind you like)
- Can chopped green chilis, drained
- Onion, chopped
- Green pepper, chopped
- Salsa
- Garlic
- Shredded cheese (I used Mexican cheese, you can use whatever you like)
- Eggs
- Sour cream
- Milk
- Black pepper

🍽️HOW TO MAKE
If you use a store-bought crust, you will take some of this recipe’s work. We like the Pillsbury ones that you roll out, so you can use your own pie plate.
COOKING STEPS
Step 1
In a skillet, fry the sausage and drain. Put the sausage in the bottom of the pie shell. In a mixing bowl, mix together the green chilis, onion, green pepper, garlic and salsa. Spread over sausage. Sprinkle the cheese on next.
Step 2
In the same bowl whisk together the milk, sour cream, eggs, salt and pepper. Pour over the cheese evenly. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven 45- 50 minutes until center of pie is done. Sprinkle extra cheese on top of hot pie if you want. Let cool before cutting.
⭐TIP
If you would like to make this quiche spicy, you can always use hot sausage and hot green chilies.

❓FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Yes, you absolutely can!
No you can’t taste the sour cream.
STORING AND REHEATING
We store this in the refrigerator and reheat a slice in the microwave. You don’t want the crust to get over cooked, which is why we don’t reheat it in the oven.
